The Akademi president, K Satchidanandan, announced on Saturday that the International Literature Festival of Kerala (ILFK) is the state's first event organised by a public sector institution.

He stated that as many as 107 programmes including literature, music, films, drama, artwork, science, and media have already been organised as part of the ILFK. Throughout the festival, there will be debates and presentations on themes relevant to these areas. The festival will also feature a large display with participation from 80 publishers.
Every day, there will be cultural programmes following the daytime events.
The ILFK is anticipated to feature international speakers such as Gabriel Rosenstock, Najwan Darwish, Les Wicks, Amir Or, Francis Combes, and Tulasi Diwasa, among others.
